The youngest ever Sykes Cup winner “Chenners” will take the gloves for the 2023 season. Henry made an impressive start to his Moorlands career in 2021, having moved from local rivals Hopton Mills, he gained praise from opposition players and umpires for his performances behind the stumps. Playing a key part in the Sykes Cup victory in 2021, he steered us home in a close game against Barkisland in the quarter final, planting the penultimate ball for 6 over square leg to ignite home crowd scenes. This year Henry will benefit from a more settled team and has been putting in the hard work over the winter months. It’s been a tough job juggling work, cricket and trying to hold down his girlfriend, Cam, who is too good looking for him. Chenners was a company favourite among the ladies from Hollywood Agency who came to take the player photos, resulting in them sponsoring him for the upcoming season along with Flourish in Mind. If you’re trying to pick Henry out during a Moorlands innings, he’ll be the one who puts pads on last and usually annoying James Rawlinson.
