The heir apparent and first-born child of club royalty, he’s got some enormous shoes to fill. Braiden or “Bozo” will be part of the first team squad this season due to his performances in the second team, u18s and T20 competitions in 2022. He has all the key attributes to become a very good opening bowler with height, pace, and the left-arm angle. A product of the Moorlands junior setup and only ever representing the club, we are all excited to see how he fares making the step up to first team cricket. In his short career he has taken some important scalps for the club, including 1,000 runs a season man Si Kelly from Honley. It is crucial year in Bozo’s development this season where he is expected to contribute in the first team, and front the game for the second team with the ball. When asked about Bozo, Chaos stated “Bozo is unfortunate that he plays here at Moorlands and not one of the other teams in the drakes league. I think in other teams he may have had more opportunity to open the bowling in first team cricket, but it is up to him to give me a headache and give me no choice but to throw him the ball. He is one of a handful of exciting young players we have at the club and im looking forward to seeing how he gets on in a big season for both senior teams. With plans to travel to Australia this winter to fine tune his game, Bozo will want to make a splash and carry that on down under.
