Quote – “George please bowl to one side of the wicket” 🤣
George joined Moorlands as a senior player mid-season in 2021 after Chaos was impressed with his performances for the u17s. Despite only being 16 at the time, he showed good pace and intensity into the crease and scored important runs in the middle overs at a quick rate. George’s clear promise led to him signing from his home club, Heckmondwike in the Bradford Cricket League where he still has family ties. Having played junior cricket for Yorkshire at all age groups, he has the potential to be a frontline bowler in the first team and we are excited to see what he does this season. With a high score of 70 and bowling figures of 5-8, he adds value in both innings and will be hoping to top those personal bests. When asked about George this year, Chaos said “I have spoken to George over the winter, and he is clear in what he needs to do this year to continue progressing and establishing himself as an asset to the senior teams. At such a young age he needs to bowl plenty of overs at the front and back end of the innings, as well win games with his batting and see the innings home. I’m really looking forward to having him in the first team set up and putting in match winning performances for us”.
