Another example of great business by Chaos and Andrew Fortis during the 2023 off season. Rudgey brings a vast amount of experience and is a very talented left-arm opening bowler who will lead the attack. The CV is impressive; a graduate of Yorkshire Academy who has also represented Durham 2nds and Worcester 2nds at county level. At club level he has played at Carlton, Ossett, Spen Victoria and Wrenthorpe. He has over 350 Bradford League wickets in 7 seasons, and 528 wickets in 11 seasons – averaging just 14.13. Chaos is excited to hand Rudgey the new ball and remembers passed battles in the CYCL; “he is a top-class bowler who I’m expecting to run through teams on a regular basis. I’ve been in the other camp and on the receiving end of his spells when he obliterates top orders, I’m looking forward to being on the right side of it”. The club managed to fight off interest from a plethora of clubs racing to sign Rudgey this winter and we are delighted to have acquired his services.
