Another long-standing member of the first team, Siraj joined us from Kirkburton in 2018 on the Friday night before the first game of the season. He has also represented Delph and Elland at first team level and is about to play his 6^th season for the club. He is an experienced first team player and it feels like he is a lot older than his spritely 24 years. He is a crucial player for the club who is an all action, hard-hitting middle order batsman and bowls leg-spin in the middle overs providing regular breakthroughs. He is also regarded as the best fielder in the team which was less impressive in previous years than it is now. Sirj is also a member of the first XI who boasts over 2,000 first team runs and 100 wickets – 2,762 run and 149 wickets. When asked about Siraj, Chaos stated, “he has been at the club as long as I have and I couldn’t rate him higher than I do. We’re very lucky to have him here and he’s a dream to captain as he can deliver runs, wickets, and brilliance in the field. He is also a great character and gives the team a much needed lift on the field and in the changing when it is needed.”
